comfortable on longer rides :-)

well fitting and a great chamois. lycra is very nice and snug. Size is as per the sizing chart. They seem to be well made but time will tell. only one small issue is they take a long time to dry as the pad seems to hold water after they have been washed (maybe it’s the foam structure in the pad but they hold moisture a long time). definitely rate them thought Ale seem to make good quality kit!

First Ale’ kit

5

Ale’ Rev-1 Pro Race Bibs and PRS Hexa Jersey kit and after 4 rides it is my go to warm weather kit. At 6’-1” , 170 lbs, I purchased the medium in both bibs and jersey, and they provide a “race fit”. This kit will inspire me to stay in shape. Nice grips on both legs and sleeves. This will not be my last Ale’ kit!

Excellent Bib Shorts

5

I have been using Ale products for many years and they are have excellent quality products but this was my first time going for the upper tier product . I have usually bought bib shorts with 4H pads but this has an 8H pad which is more comfortable and I've noticed a big change in the comfort this gives . The pad has always been the first thing I look at in a bib shorts and this one is great but also the quality of the materials are excellent . I highly recommend any high end Ale products .

Affordable Pro Quality

Searching for premium quality pro level bibs at an affordable price, these Ale pro race bibs tick all the boxes. My experience, ex pro and worked for a well known Swiss cycling apparel manufacturer. This offering from Ale includes a very direct connection to the saddle, positively influencing bike handling and comfort. No nappy like chamois to dampen numb and soften the experience. If you are looking for lots of padding, these might not be for you. The compression all round is perfect. Fit is spot on, although watch your size carefully as these are a very tight race fit as intended. The leg length is perfect and a bit longer for those who have long femurs. Compared to much more expensive offerings from other well established brands, Ale and the price point offered by Pro Bike Kit trumps them all. Consider this purchase carefully though, if you are looking anything less than a race ready garment. ‘Pro Race’ is apt for the product.

Awesome Short

Upon receiving these bibs I was a little skeptical as the chamois didnt look much different than the 4hr Ale use in some of their other bibs and so I decided to do a 4hr ride with them for my first outing. I use a SMP Composit saddle which is pretty hard but good with the proper chamois and this bib was better than I expected. We hit a cafe at midpoint in the ride and the bibs still felt as though I had just gotten on the bike so I knew it was good for 4hrs anyway. Dont know about 8 hrs but my rides never exceed 6 hrs so it works for me. The lower legs have no gripper of any sort and yet they dont ride up and they are a very light bibshort. The denser chamois seems to work well with my SMP saddle and I am not sure why but I wont question it. I am 183cm tall and weigh 79kg with a 80mm bar drop from saddle if that means anything.
