Basically good

I've tried a couple of flavours and they taste good to me - not too strong. On its own it's a pretty basic carb/salt sports drink that did the job, but on hot days I used to rely on another brand's electrolyte capsules. However, I've found that adding an H5 electrolyte tab is the perfect mix for me on a long hot day and keeps the cramping at bay. Overall, good value and complemented by the rest of the H5 product line.

Super flavour

I have tasted many products over the years and this High5 Energy Source is a real treat to the taste buds, it's good to see some isotonic included in the mix too.

improves performance

A good-value and effective energy drink, with a glucose:fructose mix that seems to improve performance if used correctly....The taste is sweet but not too sticky, and the available flavours ('fresh citrus', tropical, orange and 'summer fruits') are pretty refreshing too, so it helps you stay hydrated - another simple way to improve performance. The ingredients also include sodium and potassium - two of the key minerals required to replace those you lose via sweat.

MIXABILITY & TASTE IS GREAT!!

As with similar reviews, this product has a really nice natural taste with no terrible aftertaste like other powders I have tried. I bought 'Citrus' and love the taste. This also mixes very very easily. Doesn't clog up and leave floties in your water bottle. The only small negative is that this product is slightly more expensive compared to other brands in this size.

sweet without the

I've tried a lot of different electrolyte mixes and this is my favourite so far. Its sweet tasting without over bearing flavours.
I haven't had gas issues so far with it but don't normally have a sensitive system either. Definitely going to be an asset on long rides and races.

great for wind assisted rides

I use this for longer rides as the fructose gives you more energy for riding. The only down side is gives me terrible wind. It might not affect others that way but do warn your fellow riders behind you! Great for self induced tail wind and tasty too with no horrible after taste.
