Superb wheels

Bought this firstly due to the look and it actually surpassed per my expectation. I have been using it now for a year and it has not giving me any problem including the braking, mind you i am still using manufacturer brake pads. No issue with crosswind and rolling quite well, able to go up to 55 km/hr on flat without any flex. Can't go wrong with these wheels as your next wheel and i think it is already no longer in sale here in PBK.

Great wheels

The triangle patterning is actually much more distinct in person than in photos, I'm a fan. The wheels came true out of the box, and the actual weight is very close to advertised. I can install clinchers without a problem but I was unable to get my tubeless Schwalbe tire bead over the rim on these... Had to head over to a shop and have them deal with installation. They roll nice and braking is fine with the included carbon-friendly pads. Hard to find any complaints... I suppose the freewheel noise is much louder than I'm used to, coming from Shimano wheels.

Just ok...

After about 1000miles (1600km) on them in UK spring weather: - like stepping back in time to the worst carbon rim braking that I've experienced in recent years (pulsing when coming to full stop in the dry, not great in wet) - very tight valve hole Plus side: looks, stiff (though maybe too stiff for some), weight was less than advertised. No issues with the hubs (not that I'd expect it after only 1k miles). Because of the braking I'm unlikely to put many miles on them. 3/5 is most that I'd be comfortable giving them.

Fast tubeless performance at a great price

I have been looking for a pair of fast deep profile carbon wheels for triathlon and 100km plus cycle races. I was keen to use wider rims and tubeless for comfort and puncture protection. I rode Ironman African Champs this weekend on the wheels and they were incredible. The difference in weight between these and the factory wheels that came with the bike made a big difference. Being able to run wider tyres at lower pressure made the ride more comfortable for the almost 6 hours over 180km and the deep profile seemed to improve rolling speed. I was worried about cross wind performance as I live and ride mostly in Cape Town where 60km winds and stronger gusts are not uncommon but these performed better than my old 38mm factory wheels and in the 30km winds on the Ironman course didn’t affect me at all (in plus 60km/h cross winds the week before I did have increased side pressure - but that was more than just on the wheels). I have only had the wheels less than a month so will need to test them over time still however.
