They obviously do the trick and great for deep rim wheels. I possibly could have got away with 60mm valves or my 50mm deep section wheels, however, decided to play safe. They do seem to leak air very willingly, hence, you will need to re-inflate significantly prior to every ride (you do this anyway? ok, no probe then). Maybe I'm just unlucky with Continental rubber products?

The is the best butyl tube on the market. Don't listen to those people who say "a tube is a tube". Weight, durability and quality control do, in fact, make a difference. I like the long valve for deep dish wheels.
