Dear Sears, Following my purchase, I was overwhelmed! Deda Spada Quill stem I already build up on my bike. The bike has everything from Deda! The frameset, handlebar, post seat! The only thing was missing Deda wheels! Reading that, I have to wait to save money for them! Anyway, it could be. I hope so shortly because I now have a Probike kit! Easy way to provide more options

I bought this adaptor for my single speed. I wanted to have more options for the stem on the bike, including using some of the ones I had lying around. This a very easy to install, good looking, well made adaptor. I would recommend it to anyone who has a threaded headset but would like to use a threadless stem.

It does the job and it is great quality. I can use modern cockpit with my 1 inch threaded frames. Black is the fastest color!!

I've used this adapter to use some more modern stems on older bikes. It does the job well with no flex and it doesn't add too much weight either.

Beautiful product, quite happy with the purchase.

This adaptor allows you to use the newer style stems (and specially the 31.8 oversized handlebars) on older frames using a threaded fork system.

The body of this adaptor is 22.2 mm. It's possible to use a shim (not included) for the larger quills.

The stem clamping portion of the adaptor is 25.4 mm. (You will need a shim to accommodate 28.6 mm stems; I was lucky to have one included with a stem I purchased).

Finish is black, quite elegant. The Deda logo in the stem cap adds a classy touch. Nicely finished all around, good price too.

I have used this kind of adaptor to mount modern ergo drop bars in classic bikes, and the results are very good. You get a lot more flexibility in regards to stem angles, lengths, etc, compared to the traditional quill stems.
