Solid & dependable but lacking some features

Purchased one of these Lezyne Macro GPS units a few years ago and its still going strong. Overall I find this to be an adequate device but it does have a few short comings. It does have all the data fields I need and plenty more! Its unobtrusive and is easy to read on the out front mount (I did find it difficult when attached to the stem using the o'ring mount). However, you will have to buy the out front mount separately. It also has great battery life which far out lasts any other gps unit I've seen. As with some other reviewers, I have experienced some difficulties with syncing to my mobile at times but that's only an issue for auto uploads and its very easy to then sync after the ride. When I purchased this unit, the specs indicated that it had a built in altimeter. Unfortunately this is not the case but I see the description is now updated. It should also be noted that the Strava live tracking only works if you are a paid Strava member. One thing I have found puzzling is that sometimes the ride data changes when uploaded to Strava, for example the elevation or total km might vary from what the unit said. I believe this is a function of Strava adjusting the data on upload and I've not been able to find a way around that. Maybe it would be differentent if I was using a speed sensor. I did notice that it is only compatible with bluetooth sensors so that is also something to consider. The only other thing that has frustrated me is the inability to change the auto pause speed.

great- when it paired

Great unit- when it worked. Mine worked great for 2 months then would not pair reliably with android phone or sensors (stages and cyclops power meters, and trek speed and cadence sensors- all which paired fine with 2 other cycling computers. It is unfortunate, because it is easy to set up and use (most intuitive I have used), great screen resolution and set up options, and does everything I could ever want. LEzyne was not real quick to help me, but did eventually give me replacment units- wound up with # that all had same issue except worse

Amazing GPS

I have been looking at mtb and cycling computers for a while now and it seems this one is the one to go for! The Lezyne range of gps computers are phenomenal with their price range, style and also quality! The Lezyne Macro gps in my opinion is up with the top selling gps models and brands such as the Garmin edge 520. One of my friends has owned one of the Lezyne gps computers for around a year and a half now and loves it! He says he would rather use these then any other brand of computers! In conclusion one of the best all round cycling and or mountain bike computers made for its price and quality!

Great unit for the price

Picked this unit up on sale to offload some work from my phone when I went for a week long bike trip. Pretty reliable. App was fairly easy to setup after reading through the instructions on Lezyne's website. Pros: -Battery life vs. phone is great -Small and takes up way less space on my bars than my phone -Customization screens so you can see whatever you want to see while on a ride Cons: -GPS doesn't always work. This was an issue with slight overcast where my phone had no problems. -Doesn't always connect to my phone. This can however be fixed by going into the app and scanning for the device. This may be an issue with my phone itself though. Other than that a great unit for the price.

Lezyne Macro GPS

The Lezyne Macro Gps is a really well made cycling computer that packs a lot of features at an amazing price, it has GPS built in, and it can connect to your phone via a blutooth connectivity, unfortunately the device doesn't support ANT+, so some heartrate belts, sensors, powermeters, wont work, but if you have a sensor, powermeter etc..., that supports blutooth then you are covered, the device connects to your Strava account and can automatically sync your rides, also the device has turn by turn navigation system but not a map, and navigation only works when you select a specific place to go, if you get lost and forgot the way back the Bread Crumb feature will help you get back, one problem I had is that the battery drains when the device is turned off so before a ride by 5 hours check the battery life of the unit, otherwise the battery life on this device while in use is very good, on a 3 hour ride it consumes about 8% of the juice, as a conclusion this is a really great device for its price, its comparable to the Garmin 520 which is more expensive, and I really recommend buying it :).
