The Primal ‘Rhapsody’ men’s hoody is crafted from a soft-textured melange outer fabric with a sublimated mesh liner that wicks sweat away and allows the body to breathe. A full-length front zip fastening allows you to regulate your temperature, while the long sleeves feature ribbed cuffs and a handy utility pocket to the left sleeve. An integrated hood provides overhead protection, and the hoody also includes two front kangaroo pockets, reflective detailing and a leather detachable Primal brand tab to the right sleeve. Complete with a straight hem.

At 475g (for size Medium), this hoodie is comparatively lightweight, and sports an athletic fit than hugs the torso more closely than most other hoodies from mainstream sports brands I've tried. The sleeve length is good, although the extra long ribbed cuffs could have comfortably accommodated thumb loops and made the hoodie even more adaptable to running. The length of the body of the garment is probably considered longer than average, without being ridiculously so. The fabric that forms the external layer is delightfully soft, and on closer inspection one can see warm grey blended in pleasingly with the apparent blue colour. I note that it has no water repellence; there is no beading when I sprayed the exterior with a mist, and the fabric became damp immediately. A mesh in the colour of radioactive slime forms an inside layer throughout the shell, which I think looks lovely, and also makes the garment suitable for sweaty activity in spring and autumn. The only reflective accents on it I have spotted are a short stripe on the left sleeve just above the bicep pocket, and beneath the two parallel bands of fluorescent green stitching on the hood. The bicep pocket itself is quite small, and will not hold the ‘mini’ model of an Android handset I use. All in all, I think this is a great lifestyle wear garment for casual outings, in which I'd be happy to sprint or play ball if the occasion arises even though I do have more suitable jackets for such things.
