While the other components of the drivetrain take care of acceleration, the Centaur groupset also offers fantastic control thanks to newly designed brakes weighing around 50 grams less than competitors’ equivalent models. For the cyclist this is a major plus, as they know they can count on the extreme control offered by such powerful and adjustable brakes.
Push harder and go faster, Centaur brakes will be your faithful ally as you power to victory.

I was using the brakes that came with my Bianchi, Reparto Corse, and decided to change the rest of my Campagnolo groupset. Great decision. These brakes are lighter and have a way better feel and no plastics parts. They feel great and can accommodate 25 mm tires.
The appearance, function and performance are of the usual high standard of Campagnolo. It made me wonder why other Campgnolo offerings are so expensive. The breaking action is rapid and I ascribe this both to mechanical efficiency and the quality of the brake blocks (shoes) which outshine those supplied by Japanese competitors, something which I have observed over some time. My only criticism would be the lack of a quick release mechanism which would be a problem for those using wide section tyres
