Great Shorts

5

Worn these shorts a couple of times and I love them. I already have Castelli shorts but are too short in the leg. These are longer and being 6ft 4in cover more of my leg than my other shorts. I know they are a thicker material but here in Scotland you can wear them in July and they feel fine.

Can't fault them yet

5

Bought these after some endura shorts split. You can feel the better quality with the castelli's. I've only ridden in them for a couple of rides, both were over 4 hours. Shorts felt very comfy, just enough compression and pad was spot on. I could easily ride 6+ hours in these shorts. Also rode in about 15c didn't feel to hot, I'd say these shorts are perfect for all UK weather other than the height of summer. Not tested them in wet weather yet

Top drawer bibs....

5

The best kit on the market bar none but if you are a big size get a size larger than normal. Castelli are notoriously a small fit so don't be afraid of the XXL ;o) Oh and the kiss crotch pad is just heaven for the assets.....nuff said!

Excellent Bibs

5

Have coupled these with the NanoFlex leg warmers and Gabba jacket for the full Castelli waterproof set. Really happy with them so far. The NanonFlex material does keep you dry in light showers and road spray just beads up on top of the fabric. In more persistent downpours you do still get a bit wet but the material dries quickly and does not hold the water. Fleecy lining keeps you warm (have worn in temperatures down to 5 degrees centigrade so far). Fit is true to size. I am 5ft 6" and size Small is perfect. The shorts are longer than standard bibs with the bottom tape gripper ending just above the knee. This helps keep your thighs dry and warm.

comfy when wet

4

These bib shorts are well made and perform as advertised, repelling water very effectively. The pad is very comfortable too, certainly good enough so that it will not be what limits your ride in the wet. The Roubaix-type material is heavy and quite warm -- making the bibs too warm for me when temps are much above 10 C. Size L fit me well and I am 5'8", 145-150 pounds. What was disappointing to me may not bother some: the pair I got did not have the understated logos only on leg grips as pictured, but were overdecorated with large white Castelli decals on the sides. I would not have purchased them if they had been correctly depicted, but returns are not easy enough.

Dry and warm

4

The shorts have excellent water repellency and are comfortable. They are definitely too warm for Australian summer though- I wouldn't wear them if the temp is above 18 C. Size L fits well and I am 5'8" and 70kg. Beware they may not come exactly as pictured in elegant stealth black; mine have ugly large white Castelli decals down both legs, sure to get crumbly with wear.

Good, but long

4

Product works great but fit is a little long. I'm 5'7", 165lbs and the legs on these are about 1.5" too long. This means that the 'castelli' band at the bottom of the short is roughly riding on the top of my knee. Small seemed like it would be too narrow...

class piece of kit

4

Class piece of kit from Castelli... I haven't experienced a downpour in them yet which is quite the statement considering I'm from Ireland! But you can fire a full bedon over them nothing gets through. The kiss pad has caused me a few issues which are resolving as it wears but the pro cut is super comfortable everywhere else. I could only afford one good bib shorts and I opted for these for the thermal and water proofing qualities but to be honest the wicking is top drawer as well and I've worn these in twenty degrees and not been uncomfortable. Come highly recommended for performance, quality and aesthetics...best bibs on the market for the all year round rider in changeable conditions.. I'm 5'10 and 170kgs and the large was perfect if a slight bit big.

Really like the Nanoflex

5

I've been using the Nanoflex bibs now that it's gotten colder in my area and they've been keeping me acceptably warm by themselves down to ~50 degrees - anything colder than that I wear thermal tights over them. They do a good job with windblock, and I prefer the Kiss3 pads over the top end chamois from a lot of other companies. Castelli has become my "go to" brand for sure!
