3Looks good easy to pack, a little heavy, watch the excess baggage charges. Purchased December 13 three tips abroad, written off on third trip, wheel on underside through casing, no doubt down to baggage handlers. Full refund by airline however I don't know anyone who owns this case hasn't suffered the same fate. Will I buy another NO.

5I've had this case for over 5 years and it's still as good as new. A few scuffs on the outside, where it's obviously been mishandled by the luggage staff, but no dents or scratches. My bike has been protected on many trips overseas. This is a must buy if you want the ultimate protection for your bike. The only issue I have with it are the wheels...they're made of really soft rubber and only last 2-3 trips before I have to buy replacement ones. Probably due to me wheeling it over car parks and not soft surfaces outside of the Airport terminal. Therefore I'd recommend putting it on a trolley if you go over anything uneven or rough.

5I ordered the Scicon AeroTech Evolution TSA Bicycle Travel Case for a trip I made out to the west coast. Case was perfect for the trip, great investment if you plan on ticking off your bucket list of rides around globe. I was particularly pleased with the design. Lots of extra details incorporated in to the design, such as the latch guards make this a very practical solution for bike travel. Probikekit had the most affordable price out of all of the retailers out there. Tracking the shipment was a snap. I was a little concerned at first as this was my first purchase with porbikekit,.....All in all it was a very pleasant experience.

5First the quality.... I was nervous about trusting my pride and joy to this case for it's first aircraft journey. I needn't have worried. The case is sturdy when closed up and holds the bike securely in place thanks to pull tight straps attaching the frame to the top of the case. The first time you try to fit your bike in, it might take you a while but after watching the video on YouTube (other online video sources are available) and practicing a few times, it now takes around 5-10 minutes to accomplish. There's a handly little bag inside to store your saddle and pedals, I found the best way to keep it secure inside the case was to wedge it into the bottle cages and then use a velcro tie down on it. Although there is foam padding only on one side (the box base for want of a better description), the wheel covers help protect the other side of the frame (errr, the box lid). You can always throw some bubble wrap in if you're not sure. Personally, I added extra padding between the seat post and the top of the case, used Scicon's own derailleur, crank, fork and shifter pads along with a pair of reinforced transit skewers. Probably a whole load of overkill. Some other boxes come with a short pole that gives extra rigidity to the base and lid, the box does not have one but I din't get the feeling that it really needed it either. Depending on where you look, the box can be listed at anywhere between 12 and 12.7kg when empty. Personally, I think it's nearer the lower end as when loaded my bike tipped the scales at somewhere around 19kg. Something to bear in mind though if your airline has a strict weight limit. Dragging it around when loaded is not so bad, the wheels seem durable and turn freely. It's no harder to drive than the average shopping trolley. Although the TSA locks mean that you are allowed to lock it on a trans atlantic flight, probably just as importantly, they give the whole fastening mechanism a feel of strength and security. Then the price..... It is a little on the pricey side but, arguably you get what you pay for. Finding it at a discounted rate will obviously make you happier. What price for the peace of mind of knowing that your bike is travelling secure.

5An excellent bike box compared to others on market. Latest design technology with 5x reinforced TSA keylock and high quality padded interior to prevent scratches and shock to bike. Added with an easy lifting strap to prevent back injury for assisting easy load into vehicle. In terms of price, quality and look of it, I would say without a second thought it is the best on the market you can find.

5Was a bit nervous about putting the precious one on a plane, and after much searching chose this box. Service was excellent as ever from ProBike - there the next day. Box is great - fits the 62cm frame (tightly) but padding i great and the comments are strong and user friendly. Would highly recommend.

5I looked at every case out there BEFORE finding this case. I needed a heavy duty manageable case for a pinnerello bike. This case is easy for me ( 5'2'') female to lift and move about. I can steer it by myself. The case has hidden wheels so the baggage handles have to work a little harder to break them off. The case has an easy life strap to help maneuver the "beast" into a car. This case is designed for airline travel. Hard sided ABS plastic and TSA locks. It is NOT designed for carrying in a car long distances. If you are traveling abroad leave this at a hotel for storage and get a bike rack to support your bike while traveling. This case is also not designed for integrated saddles. My saddle comes off so this was not a problem. Spend the extra money, buy a good bike case. I invested in my bike, I would not dream of shipping my bike without this case.
