The Giro di Lombardia is an annual road cycling Tour that takes place in the Lombardy region of Northern Italy in just one day in October. Il Lombardia is the biggest autumn classic, and traditionally the last of the five momentous cycling tours in the UCI calendar. This year, the Tour takes place on the 7th October, celebrating its 111th edition.
With some big names in pro cycling racing in the Giro di Lombardia this year, Il Lombardia becomes an exciting event offering the riders the chance to go out of the Tour season with a bang! Who will follow in 2015 & 2016 winners, Vincenzo Nibali and Esteban Chaves footsteps and claim the title this year?
The official Il Lombardia Collection from Santini has been inspired by the typical autumn day in Lombardy: “A light fog covering the fields, grey smoke bellowing from the fireplaces, and beautiful autumn colours. Red, yellow, and orange leaves falling gently from the trees – this is the scene that inspired our designers for the new collection”.
