Bought these because I read they were "bombproof" and noticed a lot of the pro's were riding on them. first impressions: well packaged in box - reasonably quick delivery once shipped. on first inspection i noticed the join between the metal brake surface and carbon was very rough / messy. i presume this relates to some sort of glue. i looked at a mate's C35's and they were much cleaner at the join. maybe i just scored a dud set, though i have read about this from other reviewers before. second, i noticed a rattling sound - something loose inside the hollow carbon rims. i found myself fishing out loose bits of what i presume was dried glue which had flaked off with tweezers from the tube valve hole. for a product which serves the best riders in the world, i would have expected better quality finish. rode about 100km on them so far and they feel nice - smooth, quick and quiet. feel surefooted on bends and descents. overall - still happy with my upgrade but expected better quality and finish.

My second set of Dura Ace wheels having previously owned the 7900 C50 version with the narrower profile. The famous Dura Ace hubs roll better than ever and whilst being heavier than most 50mm carbon clinchers they are bomb proof and run very true. Evidenced by my hitting a pothole that broke my carbon stem but didn't hurt the wheels whatsoever. Only drawback aside from the MUCH heavier than advertised weight (1900gr/set) is an annoying pulsation from the rear wheel when using the brakes, the wheel is true but squeals and pulses. Front is fine.
