Almost impossible to install
The tires are great. I rode them on a 80km gravel charity event and they performed beautifully on asphalt, hand packed dirt, and loose gravel, including 20%+ inclines with ruts and rocks. The issue was with the installation. They were almost impossible to install. This was using the Lezyne Tubeless Overdrive Floor pump, soaping the beads, pre-inflating and shaping with an inner tube left in overnight....etc etc etc. Every known trick in the book. The bead somehow deflected INWARD towards the centre of the wheel channel when I tried to install it......it eventually took but only after 4 hours of continuous effort. It was nuts. I've installed other tubeless tires and none of them were ever this tricky.
My new go-to gravel tire
I was looking for a rail to trail gravel tire. The slick plus rolls very well. The 38mm tire went on my mavic rim easily and seated very easily too. Very happy with my purchase and delivery from Probikekit.

Early days
I plumped for these as winter road tyres as I reckon the roads will get a bit gnarly around where I live and the added puncture protection was a big draw. I was a bit sceptical about the max pressure of 60psi when running tubeless but after the first ride I think I’ll be running lower than that in future. They’re a bit of a pig to get onto Stans Crest rims so really hope I don’t need to stuff a tube in out on the road. I’ve only given 4 stars as I’ve only done one ride so far, but they felt great.
