Best seller
5No wonder this tyre is a Best seller. I have ridden on many summer tyres but GP4000 is by far the best though the price is high. They are worth every penny. Looks fantastic on carbon wheels and roll heavenly. Won't ever settle for less.

Great tire for peace of mind

I purchased these tires to replace the OEM ones on my Specialized Allez because I was looking for something more puncture resistant than my OEM tires. I've put about 250 miles on these since then and with no flats thus far. After close inspection of the tires, I've noticed a few small cuts on the surface which is normal from debris and glass but would have been a sure flat on my other tires.
In addition, they've got excellent grip and will give you confidence on those fast descents and will increase your braking. With just slightly more weight than other race type tires, you can't go wrong with the grip and durability.

Great all around tyre

I have tried Ultremos (Light, Fast but terriblly prone to flats and wearout easily) but always comeback to GP4000s.
I love that you can train and race in one tyre and not feeling that you are compromising one way or the other.
With race tyres you are compromising longevity (lack of) and price (high). With training tyres you are compromising on weight (heavy as a brick) and performance (grip, feel, cornering, rolling resistance are down).
Now if you use the Conti GP4000S, there is no compromise. Furthermore...with PBK's LBS killing doublepack pricing....its a no brainer!
Get them, their as sweet as a double dutch sundae after a 100km ride!

Great all-around tire
5I have been switching between these Conti 4000s tires and Michelin Pro 3 Race. While I like the Michelin for cornering and grip in crits and road races, but they do not hold up nearly as well as the Conti's.. They are just slightly heavier than Michelin at about 212-215g weighed on my scale. The 4000s is also much better than the Michelin when the roads are damp or wet, and feel much more confident with them. Overall, a great tire and I always stock up when PBK is having a special on their twin-packs.

Great Tire
5Only having had my first road bike, CAAD10, for 8 weeks my front tire went after hitting a pothole. I searched for replacement tires and decided to spend a little bit more and get something well reviewed. I did not expect any improvement in overall ride quality or performance but there was a drastic difference. The GP4000s tires grip the road much better and give me confidence to go downhill faster. I would highly recommend these tires to anyone looking to upgrade. It feels like the rollout is longer on these as well. I usually start down my driveway which is sloped and it takes me half way down the street whereas the old ones took me maybe 35-40% down the street. This could just be something I hadn't paid enough attention to before. I am ordering these in 25mm for my new rims which I will be ordering soon.

Best tires I have used

This is a great deal, don't miss it and stock up. After a season of use, the tires hold up extremely well and grip extremely well.
At first glance the compound seemed very soft and grippy, like they would provide amazing performance and then wear out right away, this is not the case.
I have used these tires through all sorts of bad conditions, including gravel roads at some points (I shouldn't have), and they were perfect. I only had one flat so far and it was caused by a direct hit to an inch long nail (After replacing the tube, they were perfect).
I wouldn't use anything else

Fast and Tough

I've been using GP4000S's for almost a year now having switched over from Gatorskins. I expected to get a few more flats using the 4000's, but I was looking at it from "there's a price for speed" perspective.
I've been very pleased with them, though - I haven't gotten any more flats than I would have with the Gatorskins and these tires feel much faster with better cornering. While I haven't scientifically measured wear yet, I also think that these wear much less than the Gatorskins as well.

Simply amazing tires with a great price.
5PBK is selling these at the lowest price I've seen for the pair so that alone would be enough for me to purchase the set again and again. Of course, I my opinion these are the best overall tire you can buy as well. I find wear to be exceptional, flat protection to be extremely good, road feel and cornering to be flawless and the tires even look great! I get 2,400 or so miles from the rear and nearly 4,500 from the fronts in a 23mm so they do indeed hold up.
