Nice cut-out; hard on the backside
The saddle provides incredible relief on the sensitive areas, however, it is a very firm saddle which is hard on the backside at around the 40km mark. I am still in the early stages and will give it some more time for me to adjust. I have good chamois' in my bibs so that's not the issue. But as mentioned above if relief on the under parts is top priority this is a great saddle for that.
It’s my second superflow saddle, use the first one for 5 years On my road bike, so the choice was Easy to upgrade my T-Lab Gravel bike X3 OEM saddle. Price was right as usual at PBK
I opted for some extra spend on my new wheels and have been struggling with perineum numbness from time to time. After some research I was directed towards the Superflow saddle and ordered it from the super efficient and competitive Probikekit. I can already recommend the Superflow after my first ride and consider this as one of my best investments. Comfort, performance and quality. Kudos !
I have used some form of Flite saddles for 30 years always great quality as is this one but,,,,, Folks coming from a Flite TM Flow beware that even on the S3 version of this saddle (130x275) it is wider mid point than the TM Flow L2 (145x275) Perhaps it is because of the wider channel? I do not know but on the SLR Super Flow it does start to flair out sooner going back from the nose than the TM Flow Not a lot & perhaps I will adjust but for now on seated climbs the extra width there is noticeable Just FYI in case anyone is coming from TM Flow to SLR SuperFlow
I've been riding with the original Sella Italia Nekkar saddle that came with my bike for 3 years and was looking for something that would put less stress on my prostate area. This was a great upgrade! It gave me everything I was looking for; it's much more comfortable and I have no pain or numbness even when riding for hours. The only drawback is riding in the rain - I don't have fenders on my bike, and road spray is directed right into the saddle cut-out, yielding what a pastry baker would call a 'soggy bottom.'
Performance and comfort
Fantastic saddle so far! It has thin firm padding and provides just enough flex for my needs. Folks that are focused on good form and delivering power should find this saddle to their liking.
Really comfortable saddle
This is a really comfortable saddle and makes a big difference when riding. No numbness or soreness at all. Would definitely recommend getting one!
SLR Superflow saddle
Looking for relief from perineal pain and numbness? The SLR Superflow has what appears to be the largest stress-relieving cutout of any available saddle. And it totally works. I have tried several other cutout saddles, including Adamo and Terry Fly. None performed as hoped. The SLR Superflow incorporates all the features I had looked for: widest possible cutout, running practically the length of the saddle, flat profile, allowing the ability to shift fore and aft as needed for comfort, and enough firmness to avoid compressing the wrong parts of your nether region. I recommend this saddle without reservation to all who are still searching for just the right saddle. You won't be disappointed.
Usual Selle Italia quality
Excellent saddle which is of the usual Selle Italia quality. No wearing in required and comfortable from the first minute. Have not done any 200km rides with it yet but I suspect it will not be a problem.
Best Saddle I've Owned
I bought this SLR Superflow to try and address some numbness issues that I was having with my Fizik saddle, mainly on longer grinding climbs. I'm a larger rider at 6'1 and 93kgs and have never used a saddle with a cut out, so I thought I'd give this one a try. I've now put several hundred miles on this saddle and so far I can say that it's virtually solved all of my numbness and pain issues. At first glance, the SLR was a bit harder than what I was used to, and initially I thought that this might be a problem for me on longer rides. But I've found that this saddle actually feels more comfortable the longer I stay on it- making it quite ideal for longer event rides and sportives It's also a flat saddle which I thought could cause a problem (since that's also different than what I was used to) but it isn't at all. It's really quite easy to move around on and find that comfort spot as the road changes. So now I can pretty much climb, and hammer away all day long pain free and without numbness in the nether regions. It's exceptionally nice looking to boot and actually lightened up my bike a bit-(mine came in at 190 gms 5 less than advertised) which are all added pluses. The bottom line? Saddles are very personal and there is no "one size fits all" philosophy; and certainly one rider's opinion is exactly that. But if you're experiencing numbness or pain like I was I would definitely give this saddle a try-it could be just what you need to solve the problem.
