Quick and easy to clip in/out

The double sided design is the main advantage of these pedals, making them very quick and easy to get in and out of. The smaller pedals also make it easier to corner quickly due to the higher clearance.

I've had speedplays for about a year now after switching over from look keo's. The main advantage of these pedals-as I see it-is double sided entry. No more trying to click-in while others ride away. Stack height and weight are competitive and the platform system works really well. These pedals and especially the cleats need regular maintenace, lube and clean the cleats regularly and you should be fine.

An excellent system, function is a cut above the rest

In recent years a few riders have been switching to US manufacturer Speedplay. Most notably Tyler Hamilton, who has used the system for the majority of his career. And not all the pro-users are contracted to ride them, so most 'choose' to use them.
Having used just about every pedal system on the market I have never found one that I am immediately comfortable with.
