Lots of Functionality for the Price

First off, this head unit will work alone to display/record basic GPS based data (e.g. speed, distance, elevation, grade) without any external sensors, and when paired with Bluetooth or ANT+ sensors (HR, Speed, cadence, power) displays/records that data too. In the case of speed and (I assume) distance sensor data overrides GPS data. That said, while the computer can be used alone the bundle with HR strap, speed/cadence sensor and "out front" mount (which I bought) is a good deal. The ability to set-up up to five pages of data (each with a definable (2-8) data fields) should be enough for even the most obsessive data junky. The display uses heavy fonts that should be easily readable by anyone with normal vision (in my case I have no problem with bifocal lenses). The mount is solid and there is little chance the unit will shake/pop loose by accident. That said, it's not a low profile device, since it sits quite high on the mount. The latest firmware (available form the Lezyne site) appears to be solid. Data is recorded in a format that can be imported into a number of sites beside Lezyne's own on line site (eg. Training peaks, Ride with PS, Strava ...) The one thing I miss is a barometric altimeter ... GPS data is OK, but not as accurate. Also, I haven't (yet) figured out how to define more than one bike (although this can apparently be done (up to five bikes according to the manual) through the available phone based app (not being a cell phone user I can't comment). I have used the computer for one 2 hr ride so I may have other comments later. I read a number of reviews before buying ... several fairly negative... but so far I'm impressed.

Unreliable

1

Initially worked great, connected fine and easy to I phone and no problems with Lezyne heart rate strap. Battery charge lasts really well. But don't get it wet. I had one too many tropical showers in Barbados and it failed completely. Unreliable and not durable. Didn't last even a year. Also the Lezyne heart rate strap stopped working after a couple of months. Buy a more reliable brand.

Bang for your Buck

Great no frills gps with all the features of a unit twice the price. Easy setup, no hassle syncing with my phone and uploading to strava. Live segments, text messages, turn by turn navigation. Extremely solid locking mech with out front mount, you'll never have to worry about the unit flicking off in the bush. What more would you need. This little guy does it all.

Not so great

1

Was good for a few ride. Then one morning I pulled the unit out and noticed that it had water under the screen. The unit wasn't exposed to water but appears to be taking on moisture from the atmosphere through a dodgy seal. I tried to get it replaced under warranty but probikekit and their supplier wanted nothing to do with it. Dodgy product and dodgy customer service.

Lezyne Super GPS definitely worth the money.

Having perused the internet at depth for the perfect combination of functionality and price, I believe this GPS ticks all the necessary boxes. It has everything you could want from a GPS and it works perfectly with my IPhone. The deal maker was the extra price drop from Probikekit who are cheaper than anyone else on the web. I would highly recommend Probikekit and Lezyne products to anyone.

Lezyne Super GPS

Great value cycle computer for the money. Easy to setup and customise data fields on. Had some issues connecting to my android phone and keeping the connection until I downloaded Lezyne's application, whilst it is running, my phone stays connected. Only negative, is its not much to look at, however it does feel quite sturdy because of its bulky design.

A great Garmin alternative

5

The Super GPS has all the features you'd want for a head unit with very simple sensor connectivity, and with the Lezyne Ally app and Root website as aids to help setup the device and review rides you have full functionality here. My eyesight is fine, so I have no problem with seeing the display. The contrast is such that even for early morning rides is it clear to see the parameters I'm looking for. The backlight is nicely bright white -much better than the cheesy green on the Bontrager Trip300. I've used the navigation function using GPX files uploaded from the Root website and it works like really well. Also, finding a route from the Ally app is quite simple. Battery life: I've put on 12 hours of riding plus about 30 mins during set-up and I have 60% remaining. Though I haven't owned/used any other GPS product previously I'm quite happy with the ease of use and functionality of this Lezyne product.

Lezyne Super GPS

I received the Lezyne Super GPS in about a weeks time, shipped to the USA. It really is a great device that sinked with a bluetooth heart rate monitor that another rider had as a spare. It also sinked with my Android phone and with Strava seamlessly. It has a lot it can do, but is still easy to program and to work with. Not a Garmin, but a more affordable alternative. Great battery life. I am very happy with Probikekit's service and this fantastic GPS device. Highly recommend it for those on a budget like me.

Lezyne Enhanced Super GPS review

Great product with a wide variety of features. It's a bit clunky to set up I found, and it is a very tight fit on the lezyne front mount that I bought with it. Otherwise as I hoped for. Cheaper than other alternatives with similar features! App could be more robust but that's nitpicking.
