Smooth, powerful

These seem to stop a lot better than the standard Shimano pads that I had on the bike. The only downside is that the retaining screw has a very small hex fitting, and is soft aluminium, so it stripped easily. I just retiffed the screws from the previous pads! Remeber, there's four in a pack!

Great Upgrade

The difference between these and standard Shimano blocks is massive.... Honestly have to be careful on the first ride as they are that sharp!

SwissStop FlashPro BXP Brake Blocks

5

I'm a big fan of SwissStop pads, I've been using their excellent green GHP2 pads on all 3 of my road bikes for a few years now and until recently they were the best available for alloy rims. I've been riding the new blue FlashPro BXP Brake Blocks for a week now and first impressions are that they are even better than their predecessor. The braking is perfect, so much more control than stock pads that come with most bikes. Also, as I ride with fairly expensive wheels; Campag Neutron Ultras and Fulcrum Racing 1s. I want a block that causes minimal wear to the rims breaking surfaces and these pads do this. So far, I've only used them in the dry, but I imagine that like the GHP2s they will perform superbly in the wet too. Will they last as long as the GHP2s? Only time will tell, but I expect they will last at least as long, which is twice as long as Shimano pads last me. So, although they are not the cheapest pads on the market, their longevity means that they are quite economical in the long term . But what price the confidence and assurance of great breaking? In my view, these pads are the best. I hadn't used Pro Bike Kit before this order, but their service was perfect; the correct items sent quickly with free P&P and at the best price I could find in the UK. 10/10.
