campac brake blocks
5not worth trying generic brands, when the originals are a good price and fantastic product. they have to be the best brakes i have tried. no squeaking, last for ever and stop you with confidence.

If you have these pads freshly sanded and use them in dry conditions they stop very well. Not as well as swiss green but well. In the wet they don't hold up well at all, and with time the black compound of the pad practically stains the rim and you notice the powder on the brakes.
They require frequent cleaning and sanding, otherwise I get significant vibration and chatter from the front wheel under hard braking

I wouldn't use any other block- stick to the original campac brake.
It stops better than anything I've used and a little detergent makes putting them on a no breeze.

I've replaced a few brake pads with the Campagnolo branded pads. The Campagnolo shoes are infamously tight and the Campagnolo pads don't make it any easier. They stop fairly well - not quite as good as some, but nearly as good.
There isn't much to say other than installation is tricky, but they work just fine.
