Great replacement for an old suspenision fork bike

Ok its not carbon but at just under 700 grams from memory this fork was a great option for converting an old 2003 era Felt mountain bike into an excellent commuter for my wife. Removed the old suspension fork and replaced with this kinesis crosslight 3. Provides enough give to make for a comfortable ride without lateral flex. Had enough axle to crown height (405mm) to compensate for the suspension travel loss. Turned the mountain bike into a nice robust flat bar road bike without any fork geometery steering problems. I've also used the disc model which also has the cantilever brake mounts on another mountain bike. 2006/07 scott p2 sportster. Both bikes had new shorter (170mm) cranks fitted and 35c sized tyres to help with ground clearance. Perhaps to much flex for the ultra hard core cyclocross rider ????? Don't know. Works great for taming an older mountain bike for more civil duties. Also good if you don't use the suspension and want to save some weight. Good also if you've damaged the fork on your bike and need a replacement. Been on the Felt now for about 6 months and done about 1700 kms and going great.
