Brilliant

These fibreflares are brilliant, good all round light from all sides - hard to miss really. I feel incredibly safe at night. Batteries are a doddle to fit in that its one each end under the rubber cover - fit & forget really. Bit disappointed in 2 things which are minor. The on-off switch can be fiddly to find whilst riding & the one I have is slightly too long for my new road bike. My last 2 bikes have had the fibreflare fitted to the rear forks no bother - oh well, I'll have to buy a shorty!

bright light

Glad to have found this light. Very bright, and the flexibility is great. Easy to get on your bike, bag or clothes.

cannot be missed

This is a big red strip of light that cannot be missed from any angle. It offers probably the best visibility of all rear lights in the test, but without the piercing reach that some of them have. The slight downfalls of it though are the rubber straps used to fasten it to the bike, which can be a fiddle at times, and even worse when cold and wet. And the on/off button could do with being a bit more visible, either by having a different colour patch over it, or by being recessed into the end housing.

great and bright

these lights are great, I have one mounted on my seat stay and when I'm on my daily commute I mount it on my bag,

Great safety light, but a pain to mount and questionable durability.

I love the light emitted by the Fibre Flare. It's highly visible and every time I and the wife (we have 2) used it, we notice that most cars give us more space when they pass.

My gripes are that it's a bit of a pain to mount to your bike. The rubber straps work well, but I'm not in the situation where I can just leave my lights set up on my bike all day. So taking them on and off is a bit of a pain. My wife clips it onto her messenger bag straps, which works well. However the design of the product means that often the ends of the flare (where the LED and battery are located) pop off. It's easy enough to pop back on, but a little be worrying that it's so easy to 'de-construct'.

Overall, if you have a good spot on your commuter/bike to place the flare and can leave mounted, then it's great. If you're the type of commuter that runs errands in the city and can't trust others to not steal your mounted lights, I'd say look elsewhere. Otherwise, great product.
