I'm on my second set. For a road bike with minimal clearance they are pretty-much your only option. Why am I on my second set? - The rear mudguard, which as the packaging proudly exclaims, has been extended from the Mk1 design to protect following riders, is really very long and somewhat undersupported / fragile. The rearmost section broke off after less than a month, because at the end of my commute I had to lift up my front wheel to hang the bike off a hook. The tail section gets "pinched" quite often and because it is brittle plastic as opposed to say being a rubber flap, it doesn't take long for it to snap off from the stress. At which point you've got a stub-tailed mudguard that can actually fling muck up your back again. I ended up kludging together a makeshift duck-tail of electrical tape to fix this. - The front mudguard, which works superbly, was the victim of a stick flying through the spokes. As the whole thing is brittle plastic (there's a theme here), it snapped the joint between the support and the guard itself. Definitely room for a Mk3 with less brittleness, but like I said, they're pretty-much your only option on a road bike.
This is the second lot of crud guards that I have purchased and the new improvements are an excellent advancement on the product, well done to those that sort and listened too the feed back to make a better product.
Bought these for the girlfriend. Fitted them over her bike, not that hard once I worked out the instructions. They are very light but don't think they are flimsy. Particularly once they are fitted, they hold well and won't damage the paintwork. Well thought out design, nicely made and clearly designed to fit just about any bike. Would definitely recommend!
Great mud guards specifically designed for road bikes. They fit close to the tyres, meaning they are compatible with most frames. That said, it can make for tricky adjustments to stop them from rubbing. The full coverage catches lots of water, including your rooster tail, making a wet ride more enjoyable for you and those behind you.
These work well look good on, but they were difficult to fit - mainly because the instructions were unclear. The actual process of fitting them was not hard once I understood the instructions. Would recommend these for sure.
These mudguards are quite interesting; very flimsy looking but they work rather well. Once fitted they do not touch the wheel though they sit very close to the wheel. They catch water much more than most mudguards and for the price, I would definitely recommend them. Hint: get someone with small fingers to help fit them. Once fitted you will not be disappointed.
Great guards for a road bike. Very light, easy to fit (with a bit of patience) and work extremely well. Also very strong. A stick in my spokes forced the guards off the side stay, but not damage as a result. The riders behind appreciate the low rear mudguard that makes group riding in the wet both more comfortable and safer. Highly recommended.
